Police offers at 16
police stations across the Province with the highest reported cases of domestic
violence have signed a declaration committing to eradicate abuse of domestic
violence against women and children.
To mark the start of the police’s 16 days of no violence against women and children campaign yesterday.
Western Cape Police Commissioner Major General Arno Lamoer says the police’s approach this year is to ensure that domestic violence is being addressed.
He added that it is important that men stand up against the abuse of women.
