Three people have been arrested in Gugulethu after being found in possession of tik with a street value R1.2m,
Captain FC Van Wyk said that Police were conducting routine searches in the area on Saturday afternoon when they noticed the driver of a Ford Fiesta acting "suspiciously".
When the vehicle was searched, they found suspicious items and probed
further.
Van Wyk said “In the car the police found a small plastic bag containing
tik and an undisclosed amount of cash in the possession of one of the
occupants.”
A
29 year old Nigerian National and two women were taken into custody in the
Gugulethu police station, and will appear in Athlone Magistrate
Court
