Nominations process at the ANC 53rd Elective Conference in Mangaung is set to start following earlier delays.

Xolelwa Mvumvu from Motheo FM who is part of a group of community radio journalist covering the conference said nominations was supposed to have taken place last night.

Mvumvu said the nominations were delayed because delegates had to vote whether the Free State and the North West should be allowed to participate further in the conference.

Earlier in the day ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe called an emergency meeting with representatives from the North West and the Free State.
