Madiba making progress in Hospital

The Presidency Office says the former President Nelson Mnadela is making progress.

The 94-year-old Madiba was admitted to Pretoria’s 1 Military Hospital on Saturday, he is being treated for a recurring lung infection.

Presidency Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said the doctors say he has made progress in the last 24 hours.

Maharaj thanked the media and the public for their co-operation.

The Department of Military Veterans has wished him a speedy recovery.

Department Head of Communications Mbulelo Musi said Madiba as the first Commander and Chief of Umkhonto Wesizwe and a Veteran has made a significant contribution into South African democracy.

Musi said they wish him to recover and come back to continue inspiring the citizens.
