North Gauteng High Court ruling welcomed

The controversial Gauteng open road tolling system got a green light today when the North Gauteng High Court dismissed the Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance’s application to have e-tolling in Gauteng scrapped.

Government has welcomed the ruling by the High court.

 
Government Communications and Information System`s Thabo Masebe said this means that there is nothing that stands in the way of goevrnment to implement the project.

 
Masebe said the Transport Minister now can start rolling the plans for the project.

 
The South African National Road Agency Limited has issued a statement that they welcome the ruling.
