Two separate drowning incidents have left
two children in hospital and an elderly woman dead.
Two Randburg children were believed to have
been found in a residential pool.
A four year-old and his seven year-old
brother were believed to have been rescued by their older brother and are being
treated in hospital. Meanwhile, an elderly woman was found in Mbekweni, floating
in a dam on a road between Paarl and Newtown
ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said that
the children were in a stable condition with water inhalation and swallowing
pool water.
“Sadly the woman, there was nothing more
paramedics and rescuers could do for her; she was pulled from the water and
declared deceased” she added.
The police are investigating the particular
incident
