The Western Cape Government Health has decided four clinics in the areas affected by the farmworker strikes.

The De Doorns, Sandshill, Orchard and Wolesley clinics will remain closed until further notice is given.

Services in other affected areas have not been changed.

Cape Winelands Communications Officer Jo-Anne Otto said they are unable to deploy their homebased carers in the Sandhills area.

“The patients are being urged to utilise the emergency medical services, that is the ambulance services, their telephone number is 10177 should they need emergency care” Otto said.

"They will be then taken to either Worcester Community Day Centre or the Worcester Hospital depending on the nature of their emergency” Otto added
