The African National Congress today has called for a solution to the on-going farmworkers’ strike in the Western Cape.

Provincial ANC leader Marius Fransman has called for goodwill to prevail, and the situation to normality.

ANC says some farmers have shown interest in on coming back to negotiations.

ANC Provincial Secretary Cobus Grobler said that Fransman has spoken with all role players including ministers like Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant, Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing Minister Tina Joemat-Petersen and Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies.

“This was done with a view to bring amicable solutions to coming to the aid to the farmworkers that are present in the strike” Grobler added.
