The Congress of The People Youth Movement has expressed surprise at the announcement made by the African National Congress’ Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa urging businesses to provide and create conducive working conditions for the workers.

The Youth Movement has accused Ramaphosa and the Lomnin Mining Company of turning a blind eye to ordinary workers pleading to get a living wage in Marikana.

COPEYM Secretary General Abel Ratanga said that  Ramaphosa was trying to soften the poor and working class.

“We are saying to South Africans to wake up for these people generate millions from the poor and exploit the same people, then come back and request votes from them” Ratanga added.
