DA concerned with position held by Mr Makubela

The Democratic Alliance on Thursday released a statement welcoming the alleged resignation of Mr Makubela the Senior Enterprise Architect of the Special Investigating Unit.

The Special Investigative Unit on Friday released another statement clarifying that Makubela was in actual an IT Specialist.

The DA Shadow Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Debbie Schafer said the statement released by the SIU on Friday is nothing but a futile attempt to deflect attention from the crisis they are facing.

 Schafer said after the release of her statement on Friday on the resignations on the special investigating unit, Schafer said she was informed that the SIU had denied the Mr Makubela has resigned.

Schafer adds that the spokesperson then issued a statement, confirming Mr Makubela resignation but stating that Mr Makubela was an IT specialist and not a senior Manager.

 

Schafer said the DA’s sources were questioned but it would appear the DA’s sources are more accurate than the spokespersons, as Mr Makuble was a Senior Enterprise Architect who occupied the second highest position in the ITC Department.
