Man survives after ramming into a car sales plot

In the early hours of this morning a driver lost control of his car at the corners of Boshoff and Victoria Street and crashed into a car sales plot.

 ER24 and the local Fire Department arrived on the scene and found the driver still inside the vehicle and entrapped. 

 ER24’s Derrick Banks said the driver was assessed and found that he has suspected neck and back injuries, multiple cuts and abrasions and a suspected head injury.

Banks adds that advance life support intervention was performed on the patient and the Jaws of Life and other rescue equipment needed to be used to free the patient from the wreckage.

 Banks said the patient was stabilized further and transported to Medicare clinic in Pietermaritzburg for further medical care.
