Minister Nzimande in Copenhagen to strengthen educational ties

Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, is this week meeting with his counterpart, Minister Christine Antorini, and senior officials of the Danish Ministry of Children and Education in Copenhagen to discuss key issues of vocational education and training.

 Minister Nzimande said they will also pay a particular focus on strengthening the relations and learning from the Danish government with the intention of benefiting the vocational and technical education of South Africa.

Spokesperson for the Minister Vuyelwa Qinga explains that the Minister can continue on his programme of looking at ways of improving the quality of further education and training colleges in the country.

Qinga add that the Minister wants to generally also improve and looking at ways of enhancing the value of vocational and technical education for South Africa because that is the way that the country’s economy is growing.

Qinga adds that those are the kind of skills we need those that are trained in FET colleges and other and other vocational facilities.
