One person died in an accident in Bellville

One person died and two others are in a critical condition and four other commuters have sustained various injuries after the taxi they were in lost control and rolled numerous times at the corners of Hendrik Verwoerd Drive and Jip De Jager Avenue in Loevenstein, Bellville last night.

ER24`s Derricks Banks said when paramedics arrived at the scene found the vehicle on its side with the commuters outside strewn across.

Bnaks said Paramedics assessed and found that the one commuter had already succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased on scene.

He added that two other patients were in a critical condition due to the traumatic injuries they had sustained in the accident.

The other four patients had sustained various injuries from suspected neck and back injuries to cuts and abrasions and all of them were patients were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals for further care.
