30 drivers arrested in Cape Town in roadblock

Western Cape Traffic Officials held 24 roadblocks over the weekend. Several people and drivers were arrested for various charges.

On Friday night two people died in an accident near Paarl.

Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said they stopped 2860 vehicles on these roadblocks.

Africa said 30 drivers were arrested, for driving under the influence of alcohol, another one for having false documentation, and another who was in possession of drugs.

He added that the highest reading was recorded in Mossel Bay area.
