A female died while four others were injured, one critically after they were trapped in a burning house in the Adams Mission area near Amanzimtoti this morning.
The exact details of the cause of the fire will be investigated by the police.
Netcare’s Chris Botha said upon their arrival there they found an elderly lady that had tragically burnt to death in the premises.
Botha adds that her elderly husband around 72 years old had sustained very critical burns and three others had sustained relatively minor burn
Botha said these patients were all treated on scene and then transported to Prince Mshiyeni hospital in Durban
