The Kraal Community on the edge of Boo-Kaap has been very concerned about elements of crime and crime hotspots in the area.

This comes after the death of a 47 year-old woman who was killed on Saturday.

JP Smith Mayoral Member for Community Safety and Security said the City of Cape Town has great plans for community which will work towards addressing the issues in the community.

Smith said for the last three years the City has been involved in a process to reclaim the piece of land and relocate the residents.

He added that they plan to do a tourism joint venture in the area and that may create jobs for the surrounding community.
