SAMWU in Limpopo said the Municipality operated without relevant authority

The South African Municipal Workers’ union has learnt that Limpopo’s Mogalakwena Municipality has been operating with a license or qualifications. 

Samwu Limpopo Provincial Secretary Simon Mathe said as Samwu they have lost confidence in the Municipal Manager at this Municipality and its members have advised that they are willing to take to the streets and make the municipality ungovernable.

Mathe said that in the electric department, the manager has no appropriate qualifications.

“As a result of that, many of our members had been electrocuted because of unlawful are unlawful extractions that result out of his misunderstanding of the electrical operations” Mathe added.
