Over the weekend the Western
Cape the traffic services held 24 roadblocks
throughout the province on all national and main routes.
1 737
vehicles were stopped in the roadblocks.
Traffic chief Kenny Africa said a
total of 661 drivers were checked for alcohol.
“749 drivers were prosecuted for
exceeding the speed limit, the highest speed in the Province thus far was 208
km/h in a 120km/h zone in Brakenfel” Africa said.
