A pedestrian died in an accident in Woodstock

Paramedics and the Western Cape Fire and Rescue team responded to an accident, where a man in his 30’s was knocked down by a cement truck in Woodstock on Monday afternoon. 

It is believed that the man was trying to cross the road when he was knocked down. 

ER24’s Vanessa Jackson said when paramedic’s arrived on the scene they started to treat the man who was critically injured. 

Jackson added that paramedics desperately tried to save his life but he was declared dead on the scene.
