On Thursday, the Democratic Alliance
will be going to the Constitutional
Court to argue its case in respect of
motions of no-confidence against President Jacob Zuma.
DA Parliamentary Leader Lindiwe
Mazibuko said the DA believes that a member’s right to move a motion of
no-confidence and have it debated within a reasonable time-frame should not be
subject to any form of political interference.
Several parties including DA, UDM,
COPE and IFP filed a motion of no confidence against President Zuma but it was
rejected by the ANC.
Mazibuko added that she had no joy
in coming to an agreement with the ANC, in Parliament about what procedures
should be followed when a motion of no-confidence is tabled.
