One person has died and another has sustained serious injuries after two light motor vehicles collided at the intersection of Strand and Buitengraght in Cape Town, this morning.
ER24’s spokesperson Derrick Banks said the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue services had performed an emergency extrication from one of the vehicles and started CPR on a Female patient.
Banks added that the ER24 personal assisted with CPR and Advanced life support intervention was performed on the patient as well.
“After a long battle to save the patients life, she passed away on the scene. The other patient was treated for serious injuries and was transported nearby hospital of further health care. The necessary authorities will investigate the accident further.” Banks added.
