The South African Democratic Teachers Union today said it will continue to defend collective bargaining.

This follows the delay by the Department of Basic Education towards the speedy resolution of Minister Angie Motshekga’s decision to withdraw Collective Agreement 1 of 2011.

Sadtu Deputy General Secretary Nkosana Dolopi said Sadtu has filed the court papers but the department has not filed the affidavits.

Dolopi added that they will continue to mobilize members to encourage their call for the resignation of Minister Angie Motshekga and the Director General.
