The Department of
Correctional Services has revised its vision, mission, values, strategic goals
and strategic objectives in line with its new business approach.
Spokesperson for
the minister Logan Maistry said that the new business management approach addresses
challenges, in order to accelerate service delivery.
Maistry the core functions of DCS is to enhance
public safety, and effective criminal justice, through management of remand detention.
Maistry said the
news mission is contributing to a peaceful and safer South Africa
