The Corruption Watch Board on Tuesday said recent allegations that it is investigating the Congress of South African Trade Union are not true.

In a statement the CW said it has investigated one union but the matter was later dropped when it was established that the case did not meet the criteria.

CW’s Bongi Mlangeni said the complain includes the corruption should have occurred in January 2010.

Mlangeni added that the complaint should be about the abuse of public resources and public powers there are contact details of the complainant or sufficient information within the report to enable CW to follow up on the matter.

“Because we think the investigation will add value to a case that is being handled by official authority” Mlangeni added.
