The Democratic Alliance today said the Central African Republic Memorandum of Understanding should be a public document.

DA Shadow Minister of Defence and Military Veterans David Maynier said the MoU should be made public because the SANDF were deployed to the CAR in terms of the international obligations set out in the second MoU signed in December 2012 between South Africa and the CAR.

Maynier said this is a complete about turn and he believes there is a full scale cover up being conducted in expect of CAR.

“I will today be launching an application in terms of promoting the acces of information act, In order to apply for access to the second MoU. and to force the minister to hand over what is in the end of public document” Maynier added.
