N2 closed due to earlier protest

The N2 highway has been blocked due to protest action.

The protests were taking place near Borcherds Quarry, where protesters were burning tyres blocking the road.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said that the out going lane direction Cape Town to Somerset West is open to traffic.

“The incoming lane from Somerset West to Cape Town is still closed to traffic” Africa added.
