North West will open a traffic training school

The North West provincial government is set to establish its own traffic college to meet the demand for new traffic officers and continuous training of provincial and municipal traffic officers.

Spokesperson for Premier Thandi Modise, Lesiba Kgwele said the college will cater for training of 400 hundred training officers.

The college was to be kick-started over the next three years at an estimated amount of 10 million rand. 

Kgwele said for the current financial year the provincial road traffic management in partnership with the national government will recruit over 160 traffic officers.
