The Southern Cape Police together with the George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is requesting the help of the public in tracing an unknown suspect in a rape case which occurred in Conville near George on 22 March 2013.

This comes after a 45 year old woman was raped by an unknown suspect.

Police Spokesperson Malcom Pojie said it is alleged that the 45-years-old victim was on her way home when she was approached by four unknown men in Buick Street, Conville and one of suspects called the victim and forced her to walk with them by threatening her while holding a knife in his hand.

Pojie further said the victim walked with them because she was afraid and they then took her into the bushes at the back of Toddlers Inn Crèche where one of the men raped her.

He added that the only description available is of one of the suspects who was wearing a white hooded top on his head which also covered his face from being recognised by the victim.

The Police have requested anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the investigating officer, Annemarie Leukes at 044 803 4618 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
