The Swaziland Solidarity Network said it strongly condemns the actions of King Mswati for throwing himself a birthday party with expenditure exceeding R33 million.

SSN said poor the country, a year ago, could not afford to pay civil servants should stop fearing the King who turns 45.

SSN alleges that the true figure was kept from the public, who were told that only R10 million was set aside for the royal celebration this year.

SSN’s Lucky Lukhele said the King on Thursday morning demanded R300 million be transferred to his account and it was done.

“This is a man that gets R42 million every three months of a year from Swazi government, it is clear now that the people of Swaziland are being lead by someone who is selfish and has no problems” Lukhele added.

Lukhele called on International Solidarity and all SADEC countries must isolate Swaziland.
