A fire destroyed 30 shacks in Nyanga

This morning, in Nyanga, around thirty shacks were destroyed when a fire burnt them down.

City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services Theo Layne said the fire has been contained.

 Residents are being asked to be careful when dealing with fire. 

Layne said they responded to Sonwabile drive at Crossroads near Nyanga where 30 wood and iron structures have burnt.

Layne added that No injuries have been reported.

“The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage” Layne added.
