A man hospitalized after being struck by a brick

A man has been admitted to hospital in Johannesburg after he was allegedly struck with a brick on his head.

The incident took place in Diepsloot this morning.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said paramedics and advance Life support paramedic arrived at the scene and found the man in his thirties lying unresponsive on the ground.

Botha said the man was airlifted to Charlotte Maxeke hospital after receiving treatment at the scene.

He added that the exact details of the incident are not known at this stage and the police are investigating.
