ANC WC dealing with change in leadership in Oudtshoorn

The African National Congress in the Western Cape said it is dealing with process of changing the leadership in the council in line with the resolution of the PEC of the province as endorsed by the ANC nationally. 

The ANC is also investigating issues of violence and intimidation in Oudtshoorn. 

ANC’s Phillip Dexter said the chairperson, treasurer and deputy secretary of the party in the province has been attending to the problems in Oudtshoorn and they are in the process of ensuring that the resolution to change the mayor and other representatives in the council is undertaken in line with the PEC and the national resolution.

Dexter added that the same time there’s an investigation going on into the vandalism and violence that took place by some elements, which have now been identified as council officials and very strong action will be taken against these individuals.
