Baby remains found in Blikkiesdorp

Western Cape Police are trying to track the parents of a body of a baby girl who was found in Blikkiesdorp. 

The police said the body was found dumped in bushes opposite the Tsunami Informal Settlement in Blikkiesdorp. 

Police FC van Wyk said yesterday morning, members of the pblic stumbled upon the remains of the child wrapped in a black cloth.

“An autopsy will be conducted to discover the cause of death; any member of the public that knows of anyone who gave birth recently and is without such a child to contact investigating officer Captain Arnand Villier on 021 954 9000 or crime stop on 08600 10111” van Wyk added.

Van Wyk also said that the Delft police are investigating a charge of murder.
