Corruption Watch on Wednesday was
granted permission to make written submissions to an enquiry initiated by the
Department of Cooperative Government and Traditional Affairs.
Corruption Watch can now further investigate a
number of allegations of illegality and complaints about the Community Work
programme.
Executive Director of Corruption
Watch David Lewis said we welcome the enquiry particularly into the award of
the contract to Mvula Trust, given to Corruption Watch findings of impropriety
in both the award and the management of the contract.
Lewis added that corruption Watch
submitted detailed written of its own investigation to the enquiry which will
report to the Minister of Cogta on 15 June 2013 .
