The Western Cape
High Court on Thursday granted Golden Arrow Bus Service the right to appeal an
earlier decision denying an interdict against routes of MyCiti bus system.
Golden Arrow in
April interdicted the City of Cape Town from finishing the
Phase 1A and B of the MyCiti bus system.
Golden Arrow’s Corporate Development Manager
John Dammert said they wish another court may rule differently in the matter.
Meanwhile Mayoral
Committee Member for Transport, Roads and Stormwater Brett Herron said the city
will oppose the appeal to the Supreme Court.
Herron added that the city respects the right
of Golden Arrow to apply for leave to appeal and respects the decision of the judge.
