Hawks today arrested seven Tsantsabane Community Development Trust board directors in Postmasburg, for fraud of about R1.2 million.

The suspects are accused of looting the alleged amount by distributing it amongst themselves.

The money was deposited in the Tsantsabane community account in March 2013 for the purpose of community development. In less than nine days the money was looted.

Hawks Spokesperson Paul Ramaloko said they were charged with fraud.
