NUM will continue to push for a double digit wage increase

The National Union of Mineworkers today said they have noted the utterances made by Sybanye Gold’s Chief executive officer Neal Froneman which stated that the a double digit increase are not going to happen.

Spokesperson for NUM Lesiba Seshoka said they feel insulted by these comments.

Seshoka explains that they are disappointed by the comments made and also added that as the union they want to reiterate that they will push hard for a double digit wage increase, it will happen.

He added that it will happen whether Sybanye Gold likes it or not and if it does not happen they will push for strike action.
