The National Union of Mineworkers today
said they have noted the utterances made by Sybanye Gold’s Chief executive
officer Neal Froneman which stated that the a double digit increase are not
going to happen.
Spokesperson for NUM Lesiba Seshoka said
they feel insulted by these comments.
Seshoka explains that they are disappointed
by the comments made and also added that as the union they want to reiterate
that they will push hard for a double digit wage increase, it will happen.
He added that it will happen whether
Sybanye Gold likes it or not and if it does not happen they will push for
strike action.
