On Saturday, the Road Accident Fund visited the community of Nyanga, in Cape Town, during the RAF’s on the road campaign.

A total of R6.7 million was settled and 338 residents assisted as part of the RAF’s community outreach programme.

23 people were direct claimants in the 18 communities visited since the campaign began in 2012, where over R109 million has been paid out already.

Jeremy Londt said they saw 400 or more customers coming through the doors, many of them to get information also to inquire about claims that have been launched with the RAF.

“We managed to get quite a bit of information over to the community, also informing communities about road safety and initiatives that will assist the RAF by reducing the amount of accidents on our roads” Londt added.
