The African Christian Democratic Party has announced that Rev Kenneth Meshoe has resigned from Parliament, but is still the leader of the ACDP.

Meshoe in a press briefing today said he would be focusing on the party as the 2014 election are around the corner.

ACDP Spokesperson Kenno Petersen said President Meshoe stepped down as the Member of Parliament as off today and that does not mean that he is resigning from politics.

Petersen further emphasized that he will remain the party president for the next few more months and all this is done in preparation for the 2014 elections.
