President Jacob Zuma on Monday held a press briefing on US President Barack Obama`s visit in South Africa.

Obama is expected arrive in South Africa on Friday as part of his three-state visit to Africa.
Zuma said protests are part of any democracy.

The Congress of South African Trade Unions and its affiliated unions will hold marches in Pretoria and Cape Town.

Meanwhile Political Analyst Daniel Silke said the United States President Barack Obama will be welcomed in South Africa by government.

This follows Cosatu and other organizations no-obama campaign.  President Jacob Zuma on Monday said Obama’s visit was beneficial to the economy and trade investment of the country.

Silke said the relations between South Africa and the US is good at the moment and actions like the planned protest are unnecessary.
