Two police officers shot dead in Khayelitsha

Provincial Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer said the officers were both on duty, when the incident happened.
Western Cape Police today said two
police officers were killed in Khayelitsha last night.
The exact circumstances regarding
the murders are still being investigated by the police.
This incident follows the one last
week whereby a police officer was shot dead and another injured in Nyanga.
Provincial Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer said the officers were both on duty, when the incident happened.
Lamoer further urged community
members to come forward with any information that may help in ensure that the
perpetrators are arrested.
