On Monday Western Cape Police
responded to a shooting incident in Bishop Lavis.
Police Spokesperson Tembinkosi
Kinana said a 40-year-old woman was shot in a drive by shooting.
Kinana said it is alleged that the
victim, whose identity can not be disclosed at this stage was standing at the
traffic lights when suspects in another car opened fire at her car, fatally
wounding her.
He added that according to
information the victim died at the scene and the circumstances surrounding the
incident are not known at this stage.
