The Democratic Alliance today said
the Chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee Jerome Maake has failed to
reply to three separate requests for a special hearing on the South African
National Defence Force deployment in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Veterans David Maynier said Parliament must not be allowed to fail the SANDF
soldiers who have been deployed to the DRC.
Maynier said the DA`s request seems
to have fallen on deaf ears in Parliament and it is imperative for the SANDF
Chief provide a detailed briefing to the joint committee on the deployment of
troops in the DRC.
He added that Parliament must ensure that the SANDF are properly trained to carry out their work in the DRC.
