Two learners appeared in court for public violence

Over a hundred learners fromNew Eisleben Secondary
School protested outside the Athlone
Magistrate Court on Tuesday in
support of two of their fellow classmates, who were charged with public
violence.

Casey said two weeks ago learners from the school were protesting and throw
stones and damaged several of the school windows, offices as well as their
toilets.
Two of the students appeared in
court yesterday but the case was thrown out of court.
Casey said the learners` behaviour
was unacceptable and would not be tolerated at any time and if any learner has
grievances they should report it to the district officer not to vandalized
school.
