An accident claims the life of one person and five injured

ER24 paramedics today attended to an accident scene whereby a truck carrying construction workers rolled while traveling in the Nkwabeni location near Edendale in Pietermaritizburg. 

The accident left one person dead and five others injured. 

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said according to witnesses on the scene the vehicle came around the corner and then rolled over and came to a standstill.  One man was ejected from the back of the vehicle and he sustained fatal injures.

Jackson added that paramedics tried to revive the man but sadly there was nothing further that they could do for him and he was declared deceased a short while later.  The five injured were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

The local police who attended the scene will determine the details leading to the cause of this fatal collision.
