Two people sustained serious
injuries when their vehicle overturned this morning on the N7 toward Malmesbury
at the Atlantis turnoff.
The exact details of the cause of
the accident are not known at this stage and the police are investigating.
Wernar Vermaak said when paramedics
arrived on the scene, they found that the local Metro Rescue Services were
already busy using specialised equipment to free the two people from the
vehicle.
Vermaak further said they joined
forces on scene and stabilised the injured. A medical helicopter was called to
the scene to airlift one of the patients from the scene to Grootte Schuur Hospital Cape
