One person died and one injured in a serious collision Bloemfontein

ER24 paramedics were called to a serious collision in George Lebe Street outside Bloemfontein, whereby a minibus taxi had collided with a truck.

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said when arrived on scene they found that the two occupants of the taxi had been ejected as a result of a collision and both of them were found underneath the front of the truck.

Jackson added that One of the men has sadly passed away due to the nature of his injuries and the other was in the critical condition.

Paramedics treated the man in his 30’s for his critical injuries and rushed to a nearby hospital

The driver of the truck despite being entrapped in the vehicle for a short time suffered only minor injuries and he too was transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” Jackson added.

Jackson said at the time police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
