The Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has today welcomed the crackdown on poaching.

Several interventions have resulted in decreases in illegal fishing activities.

Meanwhile it was reported that 13 rhino poachers have been arrested in two weeks bringing the number of alleged poachers that have been arrested since January to 285.
