Minister Fatima Chohan and the Eastern Cape
MEC for Education, will today be launching the Home Affairs-Matatiele Community Stakeholder Forum.
There are 254 of these forums across the
country which all contributes greatly to the work of the department.
Departmental Spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa
said the Home Affairs Department has since in 2009 embarked upon a campaign to
build stakeholder forum which includes members of the local communities and
health.
He added that the stakeholder forum has
over the number of years been credited for the mobilisation of communities
particularly over the need for child registration and encourage the collection
of Identity Documents.
