ER24 Spokesperson Christo Venter
said the rescue operation started the day the shaft fell and they were only
recovered today and the rescue were able to communicate with the miners which
made things easier to rescue them.
The four miners who were trapped
underground in Robertville, in the West Rand have
been freed.
It is believed that the shaft they
were working on collapsed and they have been trapped underground for about
three to four days. Fortunately no one
was injured.
Venter added that the men are in
their twenties and none of them sustained any injuries.
